What a strong cover letter contains
- Opening: the exact role, the company, and the one or two strengths that make you a fit.
- Evidence: two or three short examples from your experience, with results, that match the posting's main duties.
- Close: why this company, what you would bring from the first weeks, and a simple request for a conversation.
Keep it to one page and about 250 to 350 words. Recruiters skim; specifics win over adjectives.
Common mistakes
- Opening with I am excited to apply, which every other letter also says.
- Repeating your resume line by line instead of choosing the best two or three examples.
- Claiming a skill the posting asks for that your resume does not show.
- Sending the same letter to every employer.
How the generator works
The cover letter is part of each tailored application. It uses the hiring manager's name and the company if you add them, pulls your strongest relevant achievements, and mirrors the posting's priorities. Requirements you marked as not true for you are never mentioned. You can edit everything before you download it as Word or PDF.

Is a cover letter still necessary?
Not always, but when an employer asks for one or the competition is close, a specific letter can be the difference. It also lets you explain a career change or a gap.
Who should I address it to?
The hiring manager by name if you can find it. Otherwise use the team or department, for example Dear Customer Success Hiring Team.
What does it cost?
One credit covers one job: a tailored resume and a cover letter for that posting. Your first application is free after sign-in.
